Madalene 05:26
One day Steven and Madalene went to the top of their roof and together they gazed upon the sky, she said "The answer is clear we can't stay here when the moon's right we shall leave and as we travel you will too see" One day Steven and Madalene went to pack up their things and together they gazed upon the road, she said "The answer is clear we can't stay here when the moon's right we shall leave and as we travel you will too see" One day Steven and Madalene went to the top of the world and together they gazed upon their lives, she said "The answer is clear we should stay here since the moon's right we won't leave and as we grow old we'll both see"

Mind's Eye 04:11
Awoken from a dream I find I cannot sleep so I watch the first light creep across the room Unfamiliar shapes in an unfamiliar place I'm somewhere out in space but I'm on my way home soon I'm on my way home I can see how the dark recedes now morning on the mountains shines, shines In my mind's eye miles just fly by following your beacon let it shine Above this snowy grid the land turns cracked and broken so much like my resolve to keep you far from me Like each river and each creek that snakes a path beneath you are water in a rock determined to break free determined to break I can feel how resistance leaves now sweet anticipation shines, shines In my mind's eye miles just fly by following your beacon let it shine, let it shine And I leave the ground behind Over the clouds we climb I'm not afraid the fly I can see how the past recedes now the distant horizon shines, shines In my mind's eye miles just fly by following your beacon let it shine, please let it shine

We walked to the waterside hands entwined, warm under the sun We watched the people as they tried to fly their kites and I watched one For a moment rising high above the ground then crashing down My heart is tied to a string that you can pull and guide me flying Your breath is my wind that you withhold without even trying For a moment rising high above the ground then crashing down Nothing more than seconds soaring over when we've just begun I lie abandoned on the sand biding time for when again For a moment rising high above the ground then crashing down Nothing more than seconds soaring over and done

The world is spinning round leaving us behind below and 'bove the ground A thousand miles an hour and we don't feel a thing immune to all that power Despite our best attempts we never get ahead ever short a couple steps But if the chase should end what would be the point? what would we do then? And all that we can really ever hope is just to feel we're almost keeping up I can't hear what's been said I'm gonna walk outside gonna try to clear my head Distance helps the view the further I can see the less I feel confused In my line of sight I get a glimpse of where a stand a sense of collective might With all that momentum we're really not alone cause we're turning all in time And all that we can really ever hope is just to feel we're almost keeping up and to have a little fun and a little luck

Exit Song 03:13
It's nine in the morning, the sign up ahead says "You're finally leaving New Jersey" instead of watching old sitcoms and lying in bed let's roll down the windows and put in some Dead This car's held together with duct tape and twine and maybe we won't make it up this incline so we'll cross our fingers and just pass the time by pointing out every ridiculous sign And as we cross the Tappan Zee the strangest thing occurs to me I have never felt so free whoops we just missed exit three Somehow Connecticut didn't take long now every tune is our favorite song we sing it loud and we sing it strong I bet we'd sound good if the words weren't all wrong Unfortunately I was dying of thirst so I slammed three soda and now I might burst we get to the rest stop but it just gets worst because ten other people have gotten there first We get back in the car and drive but we don't care if we don't arrive I have never felt so alive didn't we want exit five? We hit New Hampshire much to our dismay we're almost to where we were going to stay and event though this is the end of our hike we head up to Maine just to see what it's like And as we cruise the interstate we have another strange debate I have never felt to great until we miss exit eight

Had all that I could take and there was not real choice to make I saw the hell you put me through You made your last mistake and it was time I made the break what'd you expect me to do? Now you're on the phone and suddenly I remember why I want to be alone You're just like a kid accusing me of things you know I never did And I don't understand why it's my fault when you were wrong and I won't say I'm sorry I'm not sorry that you're gone I won't apologize for trying to look you in the eye and I wasn't wrong to tell the truth I knew that one day I would finally catch you in a lie but I didn't want to see the proof (chorus) Life on the other side is like comparing day and night I wonder what took me so long? I was afraid I might not find a way to make it right Well that's the one time that I was wrong, well... (chorus)

Fate 04:40
Every day it begins all over again Sway with the wind, float on a whim Restless nights, slumber with no repose Struggle inside, stumbling as I go And I don't know when, I don't know how this mystery, what's meant to be Grasp at relief, watch it evaporate Let go of need, contemplate fate We're drifting along, borne on a breeze Here and then gone, destined to leave And I don't know when, I don't know how this mystery, what's meant to be Time on my hand runs through my fingers Shifting like sand, sparkles and shimmers Dream of my heart, window into my soul Wanting to start giving up my control And I don't know when, I don't know how this mystery, what's meant to be It's out of our reach, beyond our touch Leave it to fate, leave it to trust

Other Oceans 05:16
Perhaps I've been too outspoken perhaps I've been too naive but I have seen other oceans and now I know what not to believe And I take flight over the sea and all of the waves seem so far beneath me Perhaps you were an illusion perhaps you were not reality so instead of seeking your prison I'm escaping self-imposed captivity And I take flight over the sea and all of the waves seem so far behind me
9.
I wrote a letter to myself you found it lying on my shelf I wrote "I always want you near" you said "I'm outta here" I can't believe that I've been fooled again I thought that you would be the one I thought I knew what I was doing but you were only having fun and now I've just begun So I had an honest conversation with my reflection on the wall I said "I gotta do some livin' if I'm gonna learn at all" (chorus) Even though I know I might not float but sink I jump in before I think So it occurs to me that I should change my style I'll just take my time for a while (chorus)
